Now surely Coles are still making money from this perceived 'generosity'... this saving would be added onto the price of the grocery purchase.</p> <p>Wouldn't this mean that we are therefore worse off if we do not choose to make the most of the offered discount? Are we being forced to pay higher prices for a promotion that we don't really need anymore considering fuel prices are reasonably low at present?</p> <p>Coles know full well they can dangle this carrot and look like the good guys, when only a small percentage of clientele will take them up on their offer. </p>
